Our founder took the lead product role for equity rather than a fee.

This is the work behind Idea to Operating Product and Specialty finance.

The situation

Amazon changed its seller payout schedules, which lengthened the gap between a sale, delivery and the seller actually getting paid. For a seller living on inventory turns, a wider gap is a direct threat to cash flow. An affected seller brought us the problem.

What we found

Few companies were addressing this specific gap, and none dominated. A thin field around a clear, newly created pain is worth building into before an incumbent gets around to it.

What we built

  • A direct connection to the seller’s Amazon account through SP-API, watching sales activity and financials.
  • Cash advanced against expected payouts, with the advance and fees recovered automatically by ACH as each payout cycle settles.
  • A true purchase of receivables, which matches how sellers actually get paid and avoids lending-license overhead.
  • Operating controls from the first version: a double-entry ledger, automatic headroom calculation, risk tiering and maker-checker on every money movement.

The result

SyncPay is in pilot, so the proof here is in how it was built. Most first-version funding products are a spreadsheet and good intentions, and they get rebuilt the moment real money moves through them. This one had a double-entry ledger and maker-checker controls before it moved a dollar. That’s the reason to have someone who has run a lending operation design the product, instead of reviewing it afterward.
