The Verdict

Two weeks inside the business, then a written verdict: the ten workflows that cost you the most, each priced in dollars and ranked, with what to fix first and what to leave alone.

What you get

A ranked list of ten

The ten that matter, chosen with you in week one. Each one is priced on three lines: labor, errors and delay-to-cash.

A dollar figure on each

Hours are the easy number. The verdict also counts the rework, the credit memos, the hire you're about to make, and the cash sitting in receivables because the invoice went out six days late. That last line is usually where most of the money is.

A sequence

What to fix first, what it should return, and what to leave alone. Some of the ten won't be worth fixing, and the verdict says so.

A price for the next step

If a build is worth doing, the verdict ends with a fixed-fee proposal in three sizes. You don't have to take any of them.

How the two weeks go

Week one: find it

We sit with the people doing the work: the person keying invoices from emailed PDFs, the one reconciling the spreadsheet nobody else understands, the one who remembers which customers to call. By Friday we've agreed the ten workflows.

Week two: price it

Each workflow gets timed, costed and traced to where it delays cash. We check the numbers with the people who own them, then write the verdict.

Day ten: the verdict

A written document and a one-hour walk-through with you: ranked list, dollar figures, sequence and proposal.

The guarantee

If the verdict finds less than three times its fee in yearly cost, half the fee comes back. If you sign a build within 60 days, the full fee counts toward it.

Who it's for

Owner-run companies of roughly 10 to 200 people that have outgrown the way they're run. If your operation runs on spreadsheets, inboxes and people remembering, start here.

Who it isn't for: companies with fewer than about ten people. There usually isn't enough work to rank, and we'll tell you that on the call. Before You Sign and One Fix work at any size.

Scope, stated plainly

Coverage is the ten workflows agreed in week one. The fee is fixed. The verdict is yours to keep whether or not you go further.
